belief, Monalisa Okojie is working to change the narrative for young people across the
globe.

A lawyer turned entrepreneur, humanitarian, and youth advocate, Monalisa Okojie has
dedicated her life to creating pathways for the next generation through EXPOSE NGO,
a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization focused on youth empowerment, education,
wellness, mentorship, leadership development, and cultural engagement. What began as a vision to expose young people to greater possibilities has evolved into a growing international movement impacting youth and families in both the United States and Africa. At the center of that mission is Monalisa’s unwavering belief that education and exposure have the power to transform lives.

“Exposure changes mindsets,” Monalisa says. “When young people can see what is possible, they begin to believe that more is possible for themselves.” For Monalisa, youth represent far more than statistics or social programs. She sees them as the promise of the future of the world through education. It is a philosophy
deeply rooted in both her own upbringing and her global experiences. Born and raised in Nigeria before expanding her professional life internationally, she witnessed firsthand the tremendous talent and potential that exists everywhere, even in communities where opportunity may be limited.

That realization became the driving force behind EXPOSE NGO.

Through STEAM education, mentorship initiatives, leadership workshops, wellness
programs, cultural exchanges, and youth-centered experiences, the organization
creates environments where students are encouraged to dream beyond limitations and
develop the confidence to lead.

“One of the biggest transformations we see is confidence,” Monalisa explains. “Many
young people simply need someone to believe in them, guide them, and expose them to
opportunities they may never have imagined.” Her work, however, extends well beyond the classroom. Monalisa strongly believes that education comes in two forms: what is learned in a classroom and what is learned through life experiences, service, discipline, and human connection.

“She believes young people must take what they learn and use those skills to ‘reach
one and teach one,’” says one colleague familiar with her work. “That philosophy is
embedded in everything EXPOSE NGO does.”Mental health and emotional wellness also remain central to the organization’s mission.
Monalisa believes true success cannot exist without supporting the emotional and social
well-being of young people alongside their academic growth. “We cannot separate education from wellness,” she says. “Young people need support mentally, emotionally, and socially if we truly want them to succeed.”

While Monalisa’s entrepreneurial ventures and business commitments take her across
the world, EXPOSE NGO remains the heartbeat of everything she does. Her
international business career has allowed her to build relationships and partnerships
across continents, but no matter how demanding her schedule becomes, she continues
to dedicate significant time and energy to the organization’s growth and impact.

She frequently travels back to Nigeria, where she not only reconnects with family
members but also visits the schools and youth programs supported by EXPOSE NGO.
Those visits allow her to witness firsthand how students are thriving through educational
support, mentorship, and expanded opportunities. For Monalisa, seeing young people gain confidence and direction is one of the greatest rewards of her work.

Beyond her nonprofit leadership and professional success, Monalisa is also a devoted wife and mother. Two of her children have already graduated from university, while her youngest is entering his third year of college. Despite balancing business, philanthropy, travel, and family life, she remains deeply committed to ensuring that her children understand the value of gratitude, service, discipline, and compassion. During most holidays, Monalisa makes it a priority to involve her family in hands-on community service, volunteering in areas where economic hardship is prevalent, they help feed the homeless and distribute clothing items to those in need. She wanted her children to see firsthand how fortunate they are and to understand that success means very little unless it is shared with others.

“Giving back is not just something we do during the holidays,” Monalisa says. “It is a
responsibility. When God blesses you, you should become a blessing to someone else.
I wanted my children to understand early in life that kindness, compassion, and service
are part of true success.” Her faith plays a central role in sustaining her work and guiding her family life. Monalisa speaks openly about the importance of faith, purpose, integrity, and humility. She has worked to instill those same principles in her children, encouraging them to understand that education extends far beyond textbooks and degrees. She wants them to recognize that their success should inspire others and that how they treat people matters just as much as their accomplishments.

Like many nonprofit organizations, one of the greatest ongoing challenges facing
EXPOSE NGO is raising the financial support necessary to sustain and expand its
programs. Monalisa openly acknowledges that creating meaningful opportunities for
youth requires not only passion and commitment, but also resources, partnerships, and
continued community involvement.

Standing beside her is a dedicated Board of Directors and professional support team
made up of leaders from healthcare, business, entertainment, government, and
education. Together, they form the backbone of the organization, helping guide its vision
while supporting fundraising efforts, mentorship initiatives, outreach programs, and
educational development.

To sustain the organization’s growing work both domestically and internationally,
EXPOSE NGO relies heavily on fundraisers, grants, sponsorships, and private financial
support from individuals and organizations who believe in its mission. “It is our desire to continue bringing our educational and mentorship programs all over the world,” Monalisa says. “We want people to know they can become part of that mission and help us continue changing lives.”

Under Monalisa’s leadership, EXPOSE NGO continues to expand its reach through partnerships with educators, schools, professionals, volunteers, and community
organizations committed to creating lasting impact. The nonprofit serves youth and families through programs designed to foster leadership, confidence, mentorship, cultural awareness, emotional wellness, and career exposure.

But perhaps what makes Monalisa’s journey most inspiring is that she continues to lead
with both vision and humanity. Whether she is organizing mentorship opportunities for
students, supporting schools in Nigeria, hosting community gatherings, or bringing
together leaders from Africa and the United States, her focus remains the same:
building bridges and empowering lives.

She enjoys bringing together business leaders and community voices, hosting
luncheons at her home with powerful leaders such as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass
and professionals doing business between Africa and the United States, further
reflecting her commitment to strengthening international relationships and opportunities
for future generations.

Today, Monalisa Okojie continues to emerge as a powerful voice in conversations
surrounding youth empowerment, education, leadership, mental health, cultural
connection, and community engagement.

“I learned early on not to wait for doors to open for me,” Monalisa says. “I believe in
building my own opportunities and creating pathways for others to walk through as well.”
