Focus on Your Wellness by Doing It with Intention

Wellness is not just a buzzword. It is a meaningful pursuit that will look different for everyone. Start on your path toward wellness by being intentional with your choices.

Schedule Spa Days

Scheduling one spa day to help alleviate your aches and pains and remove the stress from a busy week is a wonderful thing to do for yourself. However, when you put a standing appointment on their books and your calendar for wellness sessions at Spencer’s Spa, you will feel even better.

Your body does not quit. You are constantly on the go, moving from work to family to spin class and then out with your significant other. It never ends, but your body and mind do need a break. A massage or treatment is the perfect antidote to your hectic life and sore body. Do not think of a spa treatment as a gift. Instead, reframe it as a part of your overall health and wellness strategy to live a better life.

Create a Morning Routine

You have probably seen more than a few GRWM clips online that show influencers and celebrities getting ready to face the world. While it can be fun and a little bit voyeuristic to follow along or just watch, it is not entirely realistic. Remember, please, that these people are getting paid to do this. Your reality is probably more grounded in, well, reality.

Even so, you can still get ready the way you want and do it with a focus on improving your wellness. Start by making a list of what you do each morning as part of your routine. Next, add in what you would like to do during that time. Combine the two lists in the order in which they make the most sense for you. Now write a timeframe next to each line item.

Add them up and determine whether or not you actually have enough time to do everything on the list. If not, move some of the items to a lazy Saturday morning. If something is time-consuming or you have added it because you think you should, remove it. Only keep things that will give you peace and add to your morning ritual goals.

Incorporate Tech-Free Moments Into Your Day

If you find yourself immersed in your screens more than you should, you have agency to make a change for the better. Of course, everything is online, from your language learning app to your banking, and your communication tools to your camera – everything is available and accessible right from your smartphone.

While this makes your phone an essential tool for daily living, it can also become a distraction that prevents you from enjoying everyday moments. Take action and schedule micro-breaks into your day. Start by making mealtimes tech-free times. Do this even if you are eating alone. Read a book instead, or watch the birds outside your window.

If there are other timeframes within your day in which you are glued to a screen without it being beneficial, think doomscrolling or falling down a rabbit hole of potential disinformation, you should set your screens aside and do something else. Go for a walk, call a friend, or talk with your family.
