This week's movie, Big Time Adolescence, is a Hulu presentation starring SNL‘s own Pete Davidson. It’s Davidson’s presence that elevates this film to a surprisingly charming level, playing the man-child that befriends his ex-girlfriend’s little brother in this touching coming-of-age comedy.

Artisan/Lionsgate and Saban Films has a great deal of dark fun in store with We Summon the Darkness. An ’80s era flashy trashy comedy thriller that has quite a few surprises.

The film will be releasing in limited theaters on Friday, October 2, 2020 and will be available on major VOD/Digital platforms beginning Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

Tensions and body counts begin to rise as all question who among themselves could be the ferocious killer - as everyone is a suspect. 

Radioactive may not be the best depiction of Madame Curie’s life, but it’s very close and extremely relatable. Even with its flaws I highly recommend catching this film on Amazon Prime.

A Lucha Libre legend, Hodgkinson tells the astonishing story about his meteoric rise to fame in the 90s and how it almost killed him.

X is a rollercoaster of a shocker that is outrageous, funny, dark and not for the faint of heart or prudes. You will also need a strong stomach and that’s not just referring to the gore.

But, this is no ordinary romantic story. Spinelli’s tale is both wondrous, cautionary, and down-to-earth with an eye-opening message.

I’m very ambivalent about Dave Franco’s faux thriller, The Rental, a good idea riddled with unlikeable characters leaving me with an ugly feeling reminiscent of better films, The Collector and Blood Simple.

This ill-conceived idea of a real life Chris Kringle disenchanted with the world, falling on hard times, getting subsidized by the military all the while having a disgruntled evil kid sending out a hitman after him actually is amusing at times and has Mel returning to his charming self which almost redeems the film.
