Santana’s resounding, gregarious, and loving personality has served him well throughout his first career as a boxer. Today, he is best known as a multi-talented commentator, public speaker and serial entrepreneur.
To add to Santana’s credentials, this California native presides as the North American coordinator and supervisor for the American Boxing Organization. He continues to maintain a relationship to boxing as an executive board member with the World Boxing Hall of Fame and the President of the North American chapter of the World Boxing Foundation as well as his appointment as an international boxing judge.
Santana recently joined the ABO (American Boxing Organization) as a board member and supervisor. He is most proud of his work as the spokesperson and ambassador for the Read60 program for elementary school children across the country.
Santana’s 20 year boxing career began when he was 8 years old. He proudly earned a place on the California/USA Boxing team. During his amateur stint he won many state and local titles and recorded over 100 plus fights. His professional career was unexpectedly hampered after a serious car accident. However, he continues to maintain a relationship today in boxing as well as being the voice for many ex-professional or retired fighters. He works diligently to bring to light the financial hardships and health related issues these former athletes are facing. “There is a tremendous lack of oversight in the professional ranks when it comes to retirement plans and health insurance, said Allen.” He is currently in discussions with those who have a vested interest within the boxing community in hopes to bring positive changes to the sport.
Santana’s purpose driven life includes his commitment to working with youth and encouraging sports activities that break down cultural barriers and helps youth to improve self-esteem.
His book entitled “UNPROTECTED” a Tactical Approach to Boxing, Business and Life debuted in Orange County, California, and will be introduced to the general public in Beverly Hills in the latter part of 2018. In addition to his already filled calendar, he is serving as the spokesperson for BLACKOUT FIGHT GEAR, which will decrease sports injury, giving athletes a better quality of life upon retirement from their respective sports, whether it is boxing or mixed martial arts professions.
