Leon Jonjock’s bio:
Former Owner of 5 “Musicman’s CD’s & Tapes Stores” for 11 years
Former radio personality WJXR 92.1 FM – 18 plus years
Featured Writer for music magazines across the nation
Owner “Laidback Leon’s Rock n Roll TV Shows” shown worldwide
Born 1965 in Jacksonville, raised on a country farm, picked vegetables, raised hogs and cows for all of his youth years. He was an instant fan of music, got his first drum set at 7 years old and practiced everyday for years in the garage.
As a teenager, Leon sang and performed as Elvis at local Duval County School PTS Meetings for years.
At 17, he played drums for Parks Brothers Review , a local family band with country and rock jams that fans enjoyed every weekend.
Played a few more unknown bands, then semi-retired playing Jacksonville as there was no money in it and no real good place to play that wasn’t already taken.
Leon got a break working at a Pawn Shop and made enough money to rent his own storefront – that’s how he got his first music store, then four more!
Listened to a radio show on the way home, and the host was selling products, never playing music, and was selling stuff like crazy – and the buyers were calling in! I said, “Hey, I gotta try this.” then I asked to join the “Bargain Channel Radio Show.”
I closed the 5 music stores and built 2 warehouses on my property, and sold millions of products I bought wholesale on the radio shows for the next 18 plus years.
I have over 50,000 hours logged in on FM Radio – “Laidback Leon” – The Voice of Jacksonville!
Now, fast forward to the next step in my life:
I have a New “Rock n Roll TV Variety Show” – Shown worldwide on Web TV; and soon we will release the TV version of the “Bargain Channel Show.” Fans can’t wait to see the show now!
My life has been great and i am blessed to have people around me that make me look good.
Thanks to all of them over the years.
