Oh for the love of gad, Bruno Mars, can you not? This cover just sent us serious shivers down our spine!
When he visited BBC 1 Live Lounge, Bruno Mars made his own cover of Adele’s heartbreaking song “All I Ask” – which he also co-wrote – and literally dropped the mic at the end. Just like a classic Bruno Mars style, he added his own jazzy sound and swag – oh those finger snapping! – that made the song more beautiful and emotional, you would just probably want to break down and cry your eyes out.
During his interview with Rolling Stone, he admitted that he wasn’t that confident using the term “lovers”, worried that nobody really says that.
But Adele being the Adele says: “Nope. That’s what it has to be.” – and Bruno eventually agreed saying: “And she was right. It’s this grand word that makes the song bigger because no one says it. Because nobody talks like that, it pops out.”
Obviously, he’s a big fan of his collaboration with Adele because he also admitted: “Sometimes I play it on the piano, and I look forward to singing that part. It’s f*cking perfect.”
Well yeah, we couldn’t agree more – this is song is freaking perfect!
Bruno Mars’ third album 24K Magic is out on November 18 – so watch out for it!
