Award-winning Actress, Producer Tangi Miller Makes Her Directorial Debut with Her New Film ‘Diva Diaries at the 23rdAnnual Black Harvest Film Festival, 2017 in Chicago, IL
Chicago IL (August 18, 2017) – Tangi Miller, award-winning, Actress and Producer is making her directorial debut with the screening of her new film “Diva Diaries,” on August 25, 2017 at 6:15 p.m. and August 26, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. during the 23rd Annual Black Harvest Film Festival at the Gene Siskel Film Center, located at 164 N. State St., Chicago, IL.

Tangi’s role as the smart and stylish Elena Tyler, opposite Keri Russell in the Emmy award-winning WB hit series “Felicity,” is what catapulted her into stardom. Fast forward 20-years later, Tangi has starred and co-starred in a plethora of TV shows and films that include, “Cold Case”, “The Twilight Zone”, “The Shield”, Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Family Reunion”, with Lynn Whitfield, Maya Angelou and Cicely Tyson, “The Other Brother”, co-starring Mekhi Phifer and Regina Hall, “Love & Other Four Letter Words co-starring Flex Alexander, Essence Atkins, Aloma Wright and “My Girlfriend’s Back” with Malik Yoba and CCH Pounder, just to name a few.

“Diva Diaries,” is about five friends who have been the topic of discussion for years, and the desire of other women hoping to mimic them. Whether conquering the business world, juggling men, or fighting wars for our country, nobody does it quite like this crew of self-proclaimed high-profile women. But, when you’re on top, you can expect that drama and nay-sayers will be close by. It takes a certain kind of woman to stand tall through it all, and these Divas do it with style, grace and class.

The festival runs from August 5 through August 31st. On Saturday, August 5th the festival opens with Felicia Middlebrooks of WBBM/CBS and Christian Farr of NBC5 Chicago, hosting a show that includes the presentation of the Deloris Jordan Award for Excellence in Community Leadership to Oscar and multiple Grammy award-winner, Che “Rhymefest” Smith and husband, Donnie Smith.
